Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a global Digital Content Manager. Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Content Manager will be responsible for collaborating with multiple stakeholders to implement the firm's digital content strategy, write, optimize, publish and manage high-quality content across our global website, ensuring that visitors to our site have a seamless and positive user experience.

The Digital Content Manager will work closely with the marketing, brand, communications, and PR teams to drive and coordinate the production of digital experiences to ensure flawlessly curated, highly shareable, and effective web-ready copy, videos, and infographics for the firm's key audiences, including clients, prospects, and influencers, while helping extend the reach of the firm through thought leadership and brand awareness.

Key functions and responsibilities include:

Content Strategy and Development:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop website redesigns, brand campaign landing pages, or new website content strategies.
  • Develop and manage industry-leading SEO and content strategies leveraging trends and best practices.
  • Establish standards, systems, and processes for content creation, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Create editorial calendars, SEO initiatives, and conversion rate optimization plans.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to define content workflows and approval processes.
  • Produce high-quality content ensuring alignment with SEO goals, accessibility, and brand standards.
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO guidelines in content creation.
  • Develop content templates, outlines, and summaries with metadata.
  • Edit copy to align with content strategy and brand guidelines.
  • Ensure content is optimized for user experience, search engines, and digital/social media platforms.


Project Management and Collaboration:
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring tight deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to craft wireframes and content models.
  • Work with software engineers, product engineers, and other teams to produce and publish compelling content.
  • Support localization of global web content.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors as required.
  • Manage agency relationships and associated budgets efficiently.


Analytical Insights and Optimization:
  • Incorporate analytics data into content development and optimization efforts.
  • Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of SEO and content tactics and campaigns.
  • Monitor industry activity and trending topics to inform ongoing SEO and content optimizations.


Leadership and Team Development:
  • Advise and mentor team on digital media best practices.
  • Act as internal authority and resource for strategic SEO and content recommendations.
  • Facilitate staff development by providing opportunities and support.
  • Identify and resolve challenges, manage risk, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Establish and adhere to department budget, seeking opportunities for efficiency.
  • This job may include managing a small team, which would include being responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team.


Experience and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant digital marketing content management/digital production experience for a global website.
  • Experience in the legal industry or a similar professional services environment is a plus.
  • Copywriting for user-facing content and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Understanding of content optimization.
  • Creating and managing content in content management systems.
  • Superior proofreading and copywriting skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand, interpret, and assess key data and stay ahead of the market changes in the digital space and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to effectively present information to groups of employees, and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients and vendors.
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit, yet highly collaborative in working with colleagues across departments, offices, and skill levels.
  • Background in budget management, resource allocation, and financial oversight of projects and initiatives.
  • Results oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing demands Technical proficiency using Google Analytics, Sitecore, Semrush, SiteImprove, Sprout, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, WeChat, Snapchat, Instagram, Jira, Figma
  • Ability to work overtime and outside regular business hours

For positions in NY, the salary range for this job posting is
$124,200.00 - $198,600.00.

The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
