Role

The Marketing Communications Coordinator is a core part of Card Kingdom’s Sales and Marketing team – ensuring our cross-channel content is engaging for our customers and optimized for our business. This role will support the creation and dissemination of our email, blog, social, SMS, and other content as needed, and serve as a champion of the Card Kingdom brand across all marketing initiatives. This role is driven by data and customer insights to deliver high-quality content that supports our sales and marketing goals. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, eCommerce Marketplaces.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Support Card Kingdom’s content strategy by crafting engaging social media posts, timely industry-related posts, and compelling email & SMS copy to promote campaigns, product launches, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Write, edit, and proofread content for clarity, consistency, and alignment with company style and brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to curate visuals and produce message-appropriate materials.
  • Manage and serve as editor of the Card Kingdom blog, overseeing contributing writers, upholding content guidelines, and monitoring performance.

Campaign & Project Management

  • Coordinate the progress of campaigns and projects across channels (email, social, blog, etc.) to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with marketing calendars.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining marketing schedules, ensuring that emails, SMS, social media posts, and blog articles are prepared and approved on time.
  • Help Sales and Marketing identify new opportunities for revenue-driving and brand-building content

Content Performance & Strategy

  • Review analytics across channels to assess performance, identify trends, and refine strategies.
  • Support the Sales and Marketing team in expanding the Card Kingdom audience by driving growth in blog impressions, email & SMS subscriptions, opens, clicks, and site traffic leading to conversion.
  • Collaborate across teams to define, prioritize, and manage content needs to drive measurable impact.
  • Coordinate and execute community-focused activities to maximize engagement and build brand loyalty.

Community Engagement & Representation

  • Foster connections with the Magic: The Gathering community by staying up to date with industry news, trends, and events.
  • Engage with our audience through social media, answering questions, fostering discussions, and supporting affiliate partners by interacting with their content.
  • Represent our brand authentically and passionately in the Magic community.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Marketing Expertise: At least 2+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on brand communications, content creation, and copyediting.
  • SEO & Analytics Knowledge: A minimum of 1 year of experience with SEO, SEM, and web analytics, including Google Analytics.
  • Organizational Strength: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Editing & Proofreading: Excellent proofreading and strong attention to detail in editing content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: A strong affinity for understanding and enhancing the customer experience
  • Writing & Analytical Thinking: Outstanding writing skills paired with sharp critical thinking to craft impactful, results-driven content.
  • Magic Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Magic: The Gathering and its community is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Magic content creators and influencers.
  • Experience in email marketing and lifecycle marketing tools.
  • Available to work events and be a representative of the brand when needed

Location / Work Schedule

Job Type / Salary

  • Full Time
  • Annual Salary : $66,300 - $85,000 depending on experience and location
