Content Management Specialist
ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT The Content Management Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, updating, continuously improving, and expanding the enterprise knowledge base. This position is responsible for collaborating with the process owners to maintain and/or create the organization's Procedures and other content that employees rely upon in support of performing their job functions. This position will be responsible for archival and maintaining versioning history of the knowledge base content. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and creating learning content to be deployed to employees based on knowledge base document updates, organizational changes, and feedback from employees. The incumbent is responsible for continuous improvements to the knowledge base and for responding to and incorporating feedback from users. This position reports to a VyStar Manager and can expect the following mix of duties: Content creation/editing (70%), Project Management (10%), and Training Analysis (20%).

Content Management Specialist

Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures critical information is up to date and available to employees.
- Create and deploy learning content based on knowledge base usage, needs, and feedback to ensure that the organization's learning and information needs are being successfully addressed.
- Develops/creates content for the knowledge based using consistent formatting standards.
- Ensures that an accurate historical record of VyGuide is maintained and works to preserve strict version-integrity.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure accuracy of knowledge base content.
- Control document libraries, which include uploading, tagging, editing, deleting or moving documents and files.
- Manages the content displayed to users by using embedded documents, enterprise keywords, content query web parts, web pages, and web apps.
- Ensure proper approval of documents using content approval workflows.
- Ensures approval standards are adhered to when publishing knowledge base content.
- Regularly collaborate with business owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to efficiently identify process improvements and learning opportunities.
- Work in partnership with process owners and SMEs to effectively document business processes and procedures.
- Assists in the analysis of the organization's salient learning and information needs. Makes recommendations, as necessary, and implements solutions to ensure these learning and information needs are being effectively addressed not only via the knowledge base, but also through VyStar's training and development offerings.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of Credit Union departments and how they interact with and impact one another.
- Maintains effective communication with internal client-members to ensure that the learning and information needs of VyStar employees are consistently and effectively met, in direct support of VyStar's goals and business initiatives.
- Maintains a general knowledge of applicable state and federal laws pertaining to the Credit Union.
- Maintains effective communication with all Credit Union employees to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing Credit Union goals.

- Ability to assist management in analyzing trends and researching and compiling data for the purpose of making recommendations and implementing changes based on the learning and information needs of the Credit Union.
- Active involvement in professional organizations pertaining to learning, training and/or human resources.
- Proficient in PC/Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro (creating or editing PDF documents), with the ability to learn new software.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of applications frequently used by staff. (Examples: InterACT, APPRO, Client Workstation, and so on.)
- SharePoint Power User responsibilities which includes maintaining document libraries and document centers; editing SharePoint site contents and site settings; adding or editing pages; creating and editing web parts and content queries; editing web part presentation and appearance; adding enterprise keywords; and managing the Term Store
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- B.A. or B.S. in Education, Organizational Development, Business Management or other related-field or equivalent in work/educational experience.
- A minimum of three years' experience in the Credit Union industry, another financial institution, or comparable work experience directly serving the needs of either internal client/members or the Credit Union's members.
- Information Mapping Professional (IMP) certification preferred.
