Position Summary:
The Content and Editorial Director is a leader with a proven track record of maintaining and elevating editorial excellence, ensuring consistent tone of voice, and upholding house style guide standards across all printed and digital media. This role is instrumental in shaping and refining the organization's communications to drive brand impact, audience engagement, and business growth.
Working closely with global market teams and corporate leadership, the Content and Editorial Director oversees the strategic planning, creation, editing, and production of flagship print and digital publications, marketing and sales assets, website and e-commerce content, weekly emails to distributors, and product packaging materials. This individual will inspire and lead a talented team to develop organization-wide branding messages and editorial strategies that resonate with diverse audiences.
In collaboration with web, print, and design teams, the Director ensures seamless integration and consistency of content and design across all communication channels, elevating the organization's reputation and delivering impactful messaging.

Essential Function and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Editorial Leadership: Develop and oversee editorial strategies that align with the organization's branding, marketing, and business objectives. Ensure content reflects the highest standards of quality and consistency across all platforms.
- Global Content Planning: Partner with key corporate and global market stakeholders to plan, write, edit, and manage the production of critical communication assets, tailoring content to meet the needs of diverse audiences and markets.
- Brand Voice and Editorial Standards: Define and enforce house style guidelines, tone of voice, and editorial standards to ensure cohesion and clarity across all organizational communications.
- Content Innovation: Leverage tools such as ChatGPT and other AI technologies to optimize content creation and streamline editorial workflows, driving efficiency and innovation.
- Integrated Content Design: Collaborate with web and print design teams to ensure content and style are consistent and aligned across print, digital, and e-commerce channels.
- Leadership and Inspiration: Lead, mentor, and motivate the editorial and content teams, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Cross-Channel Management: Oversee content production for key corporate publications, digital communications, weekly emails, sales and marketing collateral, and product labels and packaging, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Content Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to legal, scientific, and regulatory requirements across all written content.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content strategy, digital marketing, and e-commerce to maintain a competitive edge.
- Supervise and mentor a team of copywriters and editors to provide leadership and ensure deliverables are met.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Five+ years of experience in copywriting, editing, and content creation, including digital and e-commerce spaces.
- Minimum three years of experience managing creative teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT, content management systems, and SEO tools preferred
- Proficient use of MS Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook, required
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to craft compelling marketing and website content for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and lead through change.
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted strategic projects in conjunction with day-to-day tactical activities
