Role Summary
As the Creative Pastor, you will oversee the creative process to capture Church of the City's sermon series, outward-facing communications, videos, and storytelling. This role works hand-in-hand overseeing a talented Creative Team. This role also focuses on building a vibrant and flourishing artist community to create an inviting and evangelistic space for non-believers and discipleship space for Christian artists in the city.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
•Champion the Brand of Church of the City (Voice, story, visual expression and design guardrails).
•Oversee strategy and plan to tell visual stories of where God is moving in our midst in creative ways that enhance and equip our congregation to become and make missional disciples.
•Hold the creative process for the sermon series from genesis to execution.
•Build a team of volunteer/resident artists through training, mentoring, and vision casting and integrate them into the creation of assets for the church community (sermon series, special commissions, etc.).
•Oversee and build out a pipeline to create the design for various services, events and branding.
•Oversee and manage an approved budget for creative services and projects.
•General HR, finance, and administrative functions to carry out responsibilities and lead teams.
Requirements
A Christian in submission to the authority of the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit, as evident in lifestyle. Subscribe to and fully agree with the Church of the City New York Statement of Faith.
Required Competencies/Skills
•Leadership and Shepherding.
•Ability to cast vision and manage teams and projects to execution.
•Proven project management and multi-tasking skills and ability to work independently, proactively, collaboratively.
•Experience with analytics tools for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Google Analytics, etc.) preferred.
•In depth knowledge of of brand development and ability to oversee and maintain a cohesive visual identity.
•Familiar with: Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro or another applicable professional editing software.
•Must have general computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, G-Suite and iMac.

should be prepared to adapt and direct as needed.

Experience/Education:
•A satisfactory equivalent of education, training, and experience in related fields and/or educational disciplines, sufficient to qualify for the requirements of the position, including:
•6+ years of relevant experience in a related field (Creative, Art, Media, Film, Design)
•Preferred Bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
•Brilliant interpersonal skills and communication skills
