smartdept. is searching for a Creative Strategy Specialist for a financial services client located in Riverwoods, Illinois. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience. This is a full-time, hybrid, 5-6 month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension. Compensation for this position is expected to be $40-$50/hour depending on experience level and fit.
What You’ll Do:
- Manages the development of agency briefs and briefings that drive smart, insightful, innovative and inspiring creative solutions.
- Challenges status quo and drives continuous improvement of creative strategies and processes that advance the alignment and integration of marketing efforts.
- Creates and develops creative intelligence within an emerging agile environment.
- Works with business partners, account and creative team members to drive development of creative brief input prior to submission that will lead to effective creative work, includes development of training, and education and leveraging tools.
- Partners with business partners to lead discovery process to uncover consumer, customer, industry, competitive and business insights for further exploration, prioritization and development.
- Helps facilitate brainstorms and working sessions among key stakeholders to further plan creative campaigns and concepts.
- Evaluates creative campaign performance and management of results to drive further messaging, audience and channel optimizations and extract creative learnings for further test and implementation.
- Stays informed, up-to-date and reports out on cultural/social trends and customers views and attitudes to ensure broader lens of consumer landscape is at the forefront of creative strategies and creative work developed.
- Creates an inspiring creative briefing process that drives deeper inspiration of creative teams and generation of innovative ideas and solutions that fuel the business.
- Leads the continuous improvement efforts around the creative brief document, auditing inputs, and advise on improvements.
What You’ll Need:
- Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field.
- Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent written communication skills, as well as basic math, computer and problem solving skills.
- Must be comfortable using computer, fast typing skills and highly proficient and accurate 10-key ability.
- A detail-oriented nature is a must for all staff in this department.
