What You Will Do:
AVP, Creative will oversee all of creative output of Redken creative assets in 360 activation including digital, print, retail, and video. AVP will concept, direct, and assist in the execution of all US strategic initiatives for all six brands. Working closely with the VP-Creative, ensure all executions adhere to the established DMI brand charter. Responsible of assigning executional tasks to the creative team and lead the creative direction of those tasks to ensure the assets are delivered on time and are consistent with the established DMI brand charter. AVP will lead direction of all agile content creation for Redken social and ecommerce channels, as well as all video content for the US. He/she is responsible for streamlining communication and processes throughout the creative development process.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
•College degree (BFA, BA, or AAS) in visual arts or other creative fields preferred. High school diploma required.
•10+ years creative or related field experience, preferably with beauty industry-related experience.
•Proven experience in creating a consistent and comprehensive brand expression across multiple platforms including print, retail, packaging, digital and video/social channels.
•Close partnership with global team to ensure DMI brand charter is maintained for all channels
•Lead creative strategy & oversee execution of all digital, retail, print, video initiatives for Redken
•Planning and anticipating project needs for all business channels including key internal and external retailer meetings
•Ability to make quick decisions, problem solve and multi-task
•Strong leadership, execution and consensus building/decision making skills
•Manage a team (managing and directing a Director, creative, Art Director and designers) and key external agencies
•Develop and adapt creative assets for retail, print, digital and video and manage creative process
•Excellent written/oral communication skills.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to effectively manage relationships with diverse international internal and external contacts
•Thorough knowledge of the creative process, including practical implementation in order to effectively manage workloads and deadline expectations.
•Ability to articulate clear business direction and strategies; to motivate and inspire creative team.
•Liaise between different departments, participate in senior level management discussions and facilitate the creative process at all levels.
•Strong organizational and project management skills
•Proficiency in Adobe Creative suite (MAC-based)
•Computer literacy on Windows, iOS, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
•Ability to travel domestically periodically (max. 25%)
•Exceptional craftsmanship skills and attention to detail
•Financial acumen to manage budgets for category specific creative executions (photoshoots, video production, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
•Language skills a plus.
•Knowledge of the fashion and beauty business preferred
