Position Overview:

We are seeking a Truss Design Manager with a strong background in truss design and the ability to lead and manage a talented team of designers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of truss design, be adept at checking and reviewing others' work, and have experience managing workflow and meeting project deadlines. In addition to management responsibilities, you will also handle design duties as needed, ensuring the highest quality of work is consistently delivered.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the truss design team, ensuring efficient workflow and project delivery
  • Review and check design work for accuracy, compliance with building codes, and structural integrity
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the design team, fostering a collaborative environment
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication of design requirements
  • Participate in design work as necessary, producing high-quality truss designs for custom home and multifamily projects
  • Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and best practices to ensure company designs remain at the forefront of innovation
  • Ensure all projects are completed within deadlines and budget constraints


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in truss design, preferably in both custom home and multifamily markets
  • Strong knowledge of truss systems, building codes, and industry standards
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a design team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in design software (MiTek, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
