This client, based in Mobile, Alabama, the company provides a comprehensive, single-source EMR to over 650 hospitals, backed by the industry's leading support staff. Our fully integrated system automates clinical and financial processes across all hospital departments.
Staff of more than 1,300 clinical, financial and IT experts provides everything from implementation to continuing support to consulting as part of a complete program, enabling hospitals to thrive in a challenging healthcare IT environment

Looking for someone with a user-centered mentality for this skillset, Strong design anti-patterns tools and approaches journey mapping, persona, handle the cognitive load, good sense of design and anti-patterns. Handle the ethnographic research of a targeted user, communicate in non-technical terms, and generate user capabilities.

Essential Functions
Work with Business Analysts, Software Engineers and Quality Analysts to implement market requirements and functional specifications
Work well with other designers in a collaborative effective way
Design interfaces / mocks to be presented to customers for feedback
Support engineers in best practices for UI/UX design
Ensure that the modified and/or newly created application components interact appropriately
Analyze and design enhancements and fixes to application code
Design and code user interfaces in accordance with functional and technical programming standards
Complete all appropriate documentation required to maintain the application
Create a collaborative environment with other team members to ensure the team's overall effectiveness
Identify and communicate potential risks and roadblocks
Will be a part of a growing team of experienced UI/UX and IT professionals who are creating software applications and products that hospitals and nursing homes in communities across the country rely upon to provide healthcare to their local residents. You will play a key role in maintaining, supporting and creating consistent and modern user-centered user experiences and designs. Our technology stack consists of:
Bootstrap, HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, SASS
Responsive UI design
User Interface Mocking
User Experience Design
Agile development techniques and Scrum development processes

• Will they be gathering and evaluating user requirements? If so, to what extent?
To some degree. Focused scope of the UI. – Two scopes:
o Big projects - Performing research activities alongside real users and using tools like journey maps to help distill out from the workflow what the software can do to support their needs. Working through a dynamic handoff to POs and BAs for them to be able to perform the further detailed work.
o More focused feature work – Receiving inputs from dev team stakeholders and providing the necessary oversight to inform any UX design activities necessary to meet their requests.

PMs, BAs, Engineers, possibly customers.
• How will they illustrate their ideas (storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps)?
