Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)



Position Overview: TalentBridge is partnered with a leading industrial equipment supplier in search of a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in 3D CAD modeling and have a strong background in designing industrial equipment, components, and systems. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for creating detailed models and drawings of industrial equipment using advanced CAD software. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.



Responsibilities:

  • Utilize 3D CAD software (preferably CREO) to create detailed models and drawings of industrial equipment, components, and systems.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop design concepts and specifications.

  • Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications to create accurate and functional designs.

  • Conduct design reviews and make necessary modifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

  • Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and assist in selecting materials and components for manufacturing.

  • Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to support prototype development and testing.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to other departments as needed.




Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design, or Associates Degree.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and 3D CAD modeling.

  • Proficiency in CREO or similar 3D CAD software.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience designing industrial equipment, components, and systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality designs.

  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus.
