Job Description

Technical Designer:

Our client, a leading Children Clothing Brand, is seeking a talented Technical Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment construction and possess strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, CAD software, and Fitting/Specking Garments. Experience in Childrenswear is a plus!

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with design and product management teams to develop technical specifications for new products
Conduct fit sessions on Fit Mannequins , including size sets to make necessary fit corrections
Communicate Fit Comments with Freelancers trying on clothing on their children
Able to identify fit issues, perform fit adjustments
Conduct fittings and provide feedback on garment construction
Create detailed technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator
Utilize CAD software to translate design concepts into technical drawings
Create Tech Packs
Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into design

Qualifications:

Understanding of garment construction
Ability to identify fit issues and present options to solve issues
Proficient in Illustrator, MS Excel
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to team members and appropriate depts
Time management and organization skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Sense of urgency and Extreme attention to detail
Ability to proactively problem solve
