Job Type Full-time Description Multimedia Designer Summary The Southwest Strategies Group is seeking a full-time Multimedia Designer to join our team. The Multimedia Designer provides in-depth support to SWS Group clients by designing, creating and managing compelling content across various platforms to inform and engage the public. We are seeking an individual who is ready to contribute to the evolution of visual design strategies with creative ideas and approaches. Position and Location: Roles hired in San Diego operate on a hybrid schedule, with 2-3 days onsite in the San Diego Headquarters. Roles outside of San Diego are primarily remote with varying expectations of visits to satellite offices and clients. This role will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required. Salary Range: $68,000-$78,000 (dependent on experience). This is an exempt (salary) position. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Contributes to evolution of visual design strategy with creative ideas and approaches Maintains knowledge of emerging trends and technologies to ensure that work is leading edge and up to date Assists account staff and clients on the development of creative briefs Maintains brand guidelines and style to ensure consistency and compliance Adheres to ADA-compliant web, digital and print design Meets provided deadlines and budgets Additional duties as assigned Creative Responsibilities: Creates website mockups, wireframes and final designs Maintains & manages website content Designs layouts, graphics, animations, 3D art, and videos for new media Produces visually appealing motion graphics and animations to enhance video and digital content using software like Adobe After Effects Working with Account Staff, assist with video production process, from pre-production planning to post-production editing and final delivery Collaborates with Account Staff and Marketing Team to develop and optimize videos for various platforms, such as social media, websites and presentations Additional duties as assigned Tools and Proficiencies: Is comfortable managing creative workflow within the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Webflow Has intermediate-level proficiency with HTML, CSS and/or JS languages Is knowledgeable of ADA, California Consumer Privacy Act, and GDPR compliance and regulations for digital content What we offer: Competitive salary with opportunities for growth Benefits including comprehensive medical care, flexible spending accounts, paid time off and profit sharing Opportunities to work on impactful projects that affect the future of our state Opportunities to engage with some of the region's most influential stakeholders Requirements Bachelor's degree in graphic design, web design, multimedia design, or a closely related field 3+ years previous professional experience in one or more of the areas listed: web design, multimedia graphics and video production Experience with social media, advertising and multimedia graphic design required Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required Experience with shooting video preferred
