Graphic Designer We are seeking a Graphic Designer who is passionate about branding, design, and photography. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical expertise and creative flair, with an understanding of visual composition and storytelling across both design and photography. This role emphasizes self-motivation, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments while adhering to tight deadlines. As a Graphic Designer at Valley Forge, you will work closely with the Senior Creative & Marketing Manager (SM) to execute creative concepts and produce high-quality deliverables for both print and digital projects. You should have the ability to independently manage projects from concept to completion while embodying creativity and being receptive to constructive feedback. Photography and retouching experience are highly valued in this position. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage prepress work for digital and print projects, including formatting, organizing, proofing, and uploading files. Troubleshoot and resolve artwork/production issues during all stages of the production process. Collaborate with Senior Management to create branded collateral, including corporate forms, flyers, catalogs, and sale materials. Apply an understanding of branding principles to all projects to ensure consistency across deliverables. Provide photography support, including styling, lighting, and composition for product and social media shoots. Retouch and manipulate images to meet brand standards for both web and print use. Ensure quality control on all creative assets to maintain a polished, professional aesthetic. Develop layouts and mock-ups, ensuring excellent design execution and adherence to design principles such as typography, kerning, and hierarchy. Stay organized by maintaining spreadsheets, inventories, and naming conventions for graphic assets. Maintain flexibility while upholding brand standards to ensure creativity aligns with business objectives. Meet deadlines consistently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Apply and integrate feedback to improve creative output while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Graphic Design position within the parameters of the requirements below. Design Expertise: Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) with an emphasis on graphic design fundamentals such as layout, typography, and branding. Photography Skills: Experience in photography and retouching with an understanding of lighting, composition, and styling. Technical Abilities: Proficiency in file preparation for print and digital assets; familiarity with both MAC and PC platforms. Project Management: Proven ability to self-start, manage time effectively, and juggle multiple projects. Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments while independently managing your own workload. Creativity & Adaptability: A passion for design with the ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems while meeting brand guidelines. Receptiveness: Openness to constructive feedback with the ability to apply it effectively to strengthen design outcomes. Physical requirements – Occasionally lifting 10-20 lbs., bending, reaching, climbing, sitting at a desk working on a computer for long periods of time.
