Truss Designer Job at Selectek in Knoxville

We have a client looking for a Truss Designer located in Knoxville, TN This is a 6-month contract to direct opportunity RESPONSIBILITIES: Design of roof and floor trusses; using Mitek program Generate truss layouts for field use using Mitek program Generate pricing for estimating purposes. THIS JOB REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING: A MINIMUM of five years DESIGN experience in the Truss industry Ability to PROFICIENTLY operate Mitek program Complete knowledge of roof and floor truss design Basic knowledge of the construction industry Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints Good written and verbal communication skills Good math skills Ability to work as a team player Self-motivated with great work ethic Adaptable to new situations Ability to use Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word Mitek or Alpine Software may be considered.
