Our Mid-Con Engineering Design Organization (EDO) office is looking for a Civil Designer to join the team! In this role, you will generate construction drawings for industrial, maritime and coastal, municipal, and environmental design projects. This position will be based on our Houston, TX office.

Our Mid-Con Engineering Design Organization (EDO) office is looking for a Civil Designer to join the team! In this role, you will generate construction drawings for industrial, maritime and coastal, municipal, and environmental design projects. This position will be based on our Houston, TX office.

Working with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Prepare detailed design drawings for grading and site development, utility piping, process piping and chemical feed system layouts of moderate to advanced complexity, including developing alignments, profiles, cross sections and details
- Perform volume/quantity calculations as required for horizontal infrastructure projects, land development, offshore dredging, and coastal restoration projects
- Prepare detailed design drawings based on self-directed design and engineering mark-ups that adhere to related specifications while using basic knowledge of relevant design and drafting principles
- Fulfill various fieldwork requirements, including site surveys, asset condition assessment and construction observations, if needed
- Coordinate with various design teams including architectural, structural, electrical, and process mechanical
- Operate as a CAD manager on multidiscipline projects coordinating project set-up, chartering documents, and maintain designer team schedules
- Mentor junior team members and assist in the regional training activities
- Associate's degree in drafting and design or relevant experience
- Minimum 5-10 years of civil design experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Revit, Recap, Edgewise experience a plus
- Must have an understanding of survey fundamentals
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent time management and organization skills
