The Content Department is looking for an Associate Editor to join WEBTOONs Los Angeles headquarters. The Content Department is responsible for Original Programming on US WEBTOON. The Associate Editor position, reporting directly to the Managing Editor, will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and working with creators to deliver a variety of Original Series on the platform. Essential Duties: Gain familiarity with popular and diverse series on WEBTOON ORIGINALS and CANVAS Actively review and source CANVAS series and pitched materials Participate in pitch and development meetings Handle acquisition and development of assigned series Set deadlines and ensure the quality and delivery of assigned series Manage (or co-manage) creator and external partner relationships and communication Provide constructive creative feedback and optimization solutions to the development process Help strategize and implement marketing efforts on assigned series Monitor and evaluate audience reception of assigned series Contribute to offline/online events as needed Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of editorial experience in digital comics, or similar content Regularly reads series on WEBTOON ORIGINALS and CANVAS Must be an effective communicator Demonstrate a keen editorial eye for identifying talent Strong interest and awareness of pop-culture and youth culture Practical knowledge in storytelling Practical knowledge in graphic software such as Photoshop and Clip Studio What we offer: Career development; we believe in mentorship and investing in your learning, supporting you to achieve your goals Health benefits, including vision and dental Generous PTO and Parental Leave Top-up 401K Contributions Commuter Benefits Work-From-Anywhere Global WEBTOON and LINE FRIENDS discount program Winter break shutdown and a whole lot more $50,000 - $65,000 a year Please note the above range is listed in USD.
