Title: Senior Brand Consistency Specialist

The Senior Brand Consistency Specialist is a hybrid role ensuring content consistency and MLR compliance across tactics for a designated brand 50% of the time and supporting the Editorial department with reads and reviews 50% of the time. The position reports to a Brand Consistency Manager, but also works closely with the Editorial Managers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Brand Consistency Functions (~50%)

  • Reviews every job on the brand at least twice during the life of the project to ensure consistency in messaging, style (charts/graphs, footnotes, acronyms), and safety requirements.
  • Reviews Med/Legal comments to ensure accuracy and consistent pull-through across related brand tactics
  • If Client allows, listens in on live Med/Legal meetings with Account Services (AS) and Copy (CW).
  • Communicates to AS team any concerns about conflicting or inconsistent Med/Legal comments, inconsistencies introduced by Med/Legal comments across jobs, or if more information is needed to interpret how to apply comments across multiple formats (eg, print vs digital)
  • Works with brands lead editor to update the product style guide
  • Attends all team status/start-up meetings across the brand
  • Flags any foreseeable consistency issues at start-up meetings (eg, on this indication they are doing X on a similar type of piece or the X indication team was told to use this wording on a recent job, etc)
  • Actively participates in consistency reviews with AS and CW for related pieces
  • Communicates/collaborates with AS and Creative teams to ensure all teams across the brand have the most up-to-date information regarding changes to pieces that share messaging/content
  • Stays in constant communication with agency brand editor(s) to pass along updates from Regulatory, AS, or Creative that will affect active or upcoming jobs?
  • Participates in monthly meetings with CW and ED to foster communication/collaboration?

Editorial Functions (~50%)

  • Assist the Editorial Department with cold reads, correction checks, double reads, word-for-word reads, etc, as needed
  • Edit copy according to Agency and Client style, per the product style guide
  • Keep brand editor informed of any significant editorial issues on any job
  • Deliver accurate work in a timely fashion
  • Demonstrate the ability to set priorities and effectively communicate bandwidth

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of editing/proofreading experience in medical/science/pharma
  • General agency experience preferred
  • Positive/collaborative attitude

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

  • $70,000-95,000
