ANCHOR PACKAGING is a growing manufacturer of disposable food service packaging located in Northeastern Arkansas is looking for PRODUCTION/BLOWN FILM HELPERS for our Marmaduke Plant. Anchor Packaging operates 4 locations in NE Arkansas. The NE Arkansas area offers a wide variety of activities to residents in a medium-size college community as well as in a communities which are more rural, all are within a short drive of large metro areas. We offer 2 days shift and 2 night shifts. Suggest that you visit our Corporate Career Website to apply and to learn more about Anchor at www.anchorpackaging.com/careers We do send a receipt via email when your application is received and do require your work history to be included in your application or in an attached resume for job consideration. *** This is a Safety Sensitive Position under the Medicinal Marijuana Provisions of the State of Arkansas.*** The Production Helper's (Blown Film Helper's) primary responsibility is to assist the Blown Film Operator in the safe, efficient production of quality rolls of film meet all product specifications to satisfy the customer and enhance the growth of the Anchor Packaging. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned): •Assist in operating a Blown Film Line in the safest possible manner. Operate one winder of a Blown Film line to ensure quality, on-specification film.Assist in achieving standard blown film production rates efficiently, with minimum scrap. •Assist Operator during Screen Change by threading the line, changing dull blades, and lacing the bubble. •Properly set-up Winder to product specifications including safe disposal of used blades. •Regularly check for correct roll widths and straight, smooth roll edges, and make adjustments as necessary to improve roll edge quality. •Regularly weigh every 3rd set and log production data into the Zontec system. With step progression, learn to make adjustments to keep roll weights within specification. Weigh more frequently during/after changes in operating conditions. •Core tag and properly package/palletize all production for traceability and product safety. •Assist Operator in separating the sheet, clearing wrap-ups, pulling and cleaning dies, screws, elbows, and other tasks as required. •Responsible for overall safety of his/her work area and to assist others to work safely. Observe all Blown Film Safety Rules; e.g., safe handling of slitter blades and cutting tools, proper use and care of personal protective equipment, manually open nips before threading the line, etc. •Responsible for operating both winders during break times •Meet attendance objectives, comply with all Plant and Company policies, and follow the Anchor Packaging Standards of Conduct. •Work with Extruder Operators, Leads, and Supervision to maintain housekeeping standards and comply with ISO and other audit requirements. Math Ability: Ability read a tape measure to 1/16" accuracy. Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Basic data entry computer skills needed. Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. The employee may frequently lift and/or move shafts or rolls up to 70 pounds. Blown Film Operator Trainees lift mandrels and carry rolls to weight them and place them on skids. Sets of film can come off as quick as every three (3) minutes or sooner depending on production speeds. Lifting requirements and speed of lines will vary with scheduling of the Blown Film lines. Anchor Packaging does require drug testing and a background check prior as a contingency to finalizing employment offers.
