SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist/Graphic Designer supports all projects in the Marketing Department. Responsibilities include graphic design, digital marketing, database/email marketing, social media, product launches, trade show planning and graphics, motion graphics/animations, and organizational communications. This role develops, prepares, produces, and maintains graphics and visuals for NICOR while adhering to the organization's design standards and management direction. Collaboration within the marketing group and across departments is essential to achieve final deliverables.

As a Marketing Specialist/Graphic Designer, your day is filled with creativity and collaboration. You might work on designing promotional materials, editing motion graphics for a digital campaign, or capturing product images in the studio. You'll collaborate with team members to refine concepts, update digital assets, and ensure all deliverables meet NICOR's brand standards. Balancing multiple projects, you'll combine technical expertise with creative problem-solving to deliver high-quality work on time

The Marketing Specialist/Graphic Designer is responsible for creating diverse creative assets to support NICOR's marketing initiatives. This includes graphic design, motion graphics, and product photography. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and Production: Plan, design, and produce print and digital collateral, including catalogs, brochures, technical specification sheets, advertisements, exhibition graphics, and packaging designs.
- Motion Graphics and Animations: Develop engaging motion graphics and animations for educational and marketing purposes, including storyboarding, editing, and finalizing content for social media and digital signage.
- Product Photography: Capture high-quality product images using advanced lighting and camera setups, highlighting features and installation details.
- Event Support: Prepare artwork, signage, and promotional materials for exhibitions, tradeshows, and other events, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Content and Template Management: Design and maintain templates, forms, and digital assets (PDFs, online forms, etc.) to support promotions, presentations, and events. Maintain a comprehensive database of photography, artwork, and documents for consistent branding.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to refine project goals, manage feedback, and deliver projects on time.
In addition to these responsibilities, the specialist is expected to handle routine design tasks, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to the evolving goals of the marketing team.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in art, Design, or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects. Portfolio required.
- Experience in HTML5 and CSS, specifically for email design and online ads.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with After Effects preferred over Premiere Pro.
- Proficiency in creating motion graphics, animations, and effects for digital platforms.
- Demonstrated success in product photography, including setting up lighting and capturing product angles.
- Strong skills in creating templates and forms for various applications.
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and adherence to deadlines.
- Self-motivated, collaborative team player with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Social Media Management tools preferred
