Graphic Designer
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a Journeyman Graphic Designer to support a federal government client in Bethesda, MD.
Location: Bethesda, Maryland
FLSA Status: Full-Time
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with a CI Poly
Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
Position Type: On-Site
Responsibilities
+ Develops graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products
+ Utilizes request management tools to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requests
+ Coordinates with UI/UX designer in Knowledge Management, to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user-friendly experience
+ Creates graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products
+ Develops design concepts and implements designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content that will be presented online
+ Ensures products conform to all production standards, copywrite laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances
+ Conducts technical quality checks
+ Manages an approved concept and build in HTML/CSS so it complies with responsive design principles
+ Provides Cartography support, as needed, to design thematic and reference maps
Minimum Qualifications
+ Requires BA/BS and 3+ years of experience or no degree and 9 years of experience.
+ TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance required
+ Experience with the following:
+ Leading the development of graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products
+ Front-end web design, UI/UX, HTML/CSS
+ Photography and video editing
+ Mentoring and trains junior staff
+ Creating graphics products that provide an engaging and user friendly experience
+ Creating graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products
+ Developing design concepts and implements designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content presented online
+ Ensuring products conform to all production standards, copywrite laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances
+ Conducting technical quality checks.
