Why be a Senior Graphic Designer at THG - Dermstore?

As the Senior Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing Dermstore's visual storytelling efforts, leading the design of multi-channel, multi-media content across integrated campaigns and always-on programming for paid and owned marketing channels. You will steer the Graphic Design function at Dermstore, conceptualizing and executing visual treatments and design templates to enable a sustainable flow of content, driving engagement, new customer recruitment and reinforcing education as a brand pillar. You will provide a strong branding POV for integrated campaigns and define and maintain Dermstore's distinct look and feel at every consumer touchpoint.

The role requires a creative, strategic and collaborative mindset paired with a multi-disciplinary mastery of creative formats, storytelling devices and precise attention to detail.

Your goal will be to launch and build visual systems for brand and product storytelling and to enable the sustainable ongoing creation of content, bringing brand and product stories to market in effective, creative and authentic ways.

Candidates should possess a solutions-oriented, self-starting mentality and should be equally comfortable working independently with minimal direction and also collaborating closely with stakeholders and partners.

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you'll:
  • Develop and execute visual concepts, graphics, mock-ups and layouts to communicate design strategies for creative integrated marketing campaigns, across digital channels (website, paid media, email, organic social) as well as print media (mailers, insert cards, influencer kits, packaging)
  • Create brand and product storytelling devices to drive consumer engagement and provide scalable templates for ongoing content production across paid and organic social, digital ads, email marketing, website graphics and direct mail comms
  • Conceptualize and develop design treatments and overarching style guides
  • Flex between high-level ideation and conception and hands-on work in design files, including image retouching and layout edits
  • Collaborate closely with Brand & Campaigns teams to deliver integrated marketing assets that deliver to brief, on time, across all channels
  • Create compelling visual narratives through best-in-class creative with insight into current trends in organic social, paid media and email marketing
  • Ideation - Lead integrated design initiatives, bringing new creative ideas, fresh typography, visuals and trends to the table by designing beautiful and visually engaging creative and driving business outcomes through design

What skills & experience do I need for this role?
  • Min 5 - 7 years experience in a senior creative role
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating impactful graphic design, photo art direction and typography skills in traditional and digital media, including video and motion graphics animation
  • Mastery of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Proficiency with Canva, video editing platforms and applications and motion graphics animation (AfterEffects) preferred
  • Familiarity with e-commerce marketing channels and content opportunities across email, social and direct mail
  • Experience transforming concepts into visual executions that articulate the brand and deliver on business needs
  • Experience with narrative video storyboards and scripts a plus
  • Knowledge of beauty and skincare trends and storytelling a big plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and presentation skills
  • Comfort in situations with ambiguity and complexity
  • Adept multitasker who can shift task to task
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive problem-solver with strong decision-making capability
  • Willingness to iterate to achieve the best outcomes
  • Extremely well-organized with excellent time management skills
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Proven track record for being a self-starter, solution-oriented strategic thinker, and creative collaborator

What's in it for me?
