ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking an Adobe wizard and typography geek who thrives on creating high-quality marketing materials to promote our products and services in stand-out ways. This role will blend the design of advertisements, mock-ups, media kits, and decks with a sales-minded approach, exciting clients about the potential of our water-based media for their campaigns!
Our ideal candidate is a design genius that can channel creativity into the ideation, development, and amplification of sales tools and marketing initiatives. They should understand the importance of delivering messages in marketing using color palettes, hierarchy, visual composition, and more. This self-starter is willing to accept the challenge of designing materials to be viewed by everyone from local companies to global brands and takes pride when they assist the sales team in closing major deals. Your goal is to attract these companies to our services and emphasize our platforms' fun, unique, and impactful offerings.
Outside of specifics, we're a team that thrives on collaboration and teamwork. A perfect match would be someone who can handle a fast-paced environment but is unafraid to make revisions and learn from other team members to produce the highest-quality materials collectively. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Design impactful sales collateral using a mix of Adobe software, mainly utilizing Photoshop
- Understand the external brand identities of companies we’re working with and integrate visual elements into mock-ups, renderings, and marketing materials
- Create or assist in the production of one-sheets, infographics, presentation decks, and other digital projects
- Compile research on markets and events to create information-based decks and materials
- Participate in client meetings, creative discussions, strategy discussions, and development of campaigns
- Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer, Sales Team, and other co-workers to come up with fresh and creative ideas that meet or elevate the goals of the Marketing department
- Track campaigns and work closely with Sales and Marketing to keep accurate records of what needs to be created and maintain your schedule with appropriate deadlines.
- Effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously and ensure each meets “Ballyhoo Standards” and client needs.
- Help build workflows and maintain file systems that store creative assets.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 1 - 3+ years of relevant graphic design experience (agency experience preferred; marketing background a plus)
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, is required
- Education or experience in Marketing or related fields
- Knowledgeable in all areas of design, brand identity, promotion, and communication in developing outward-facing sales collateral.
- A digital portfolio demonstrating past B2B marketing experience or related work
- Are curious, ambitious, entrepreneurial, thorough, relentless and committed.’
- Excellent writing, editing, research and presentation skills.
- Collaborate with managers, peers and designers to develop compelling content and creative products.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and personnel for a fast-paced office in highly organized and efficient fashion.
- Communicate professionally with clients, media and other external audiences.
- Meet simultaneous deadlines, troubleshoot and manage multiple projects at once.
