WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You will report directly to the Production Art Studio Senior Manager, while working in collaboration with fellow Graphic Production Artists and Graphic Designers. Outside of the Studio, your primary partners will be Apparel Design, Graphic Design, and Digital Design. You will be working on product across multiple sport dimensions to support seasonal product creation. This opportunity will require independent and highly detailed thinking. You will be working with teams across multiple sport dimensions which may include NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB, and NCAA to help support seasonal category apparel product creation. This opportunity will require independent and strong collaborative skills to communicate with your matrix partners in Design, Product Management, Technical Development and Material Development. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a Production Artist 2 to join the TCOE Graphic Production team. We are looking for a designer who loves the production part of the graphic process. We are experts at putting art on both physical and digital tee shirts. We obsess logos, ink, screen-printing process, artwork separations and elevating Nike art on a global scale. This role amplifies graphic design by delivering flawless execution on production-ready files, is a trusted resource within the team, and creates detailed and accurate graphic schematics. The candidate needs to have a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, while keeping production moving forward. Outside of the Production Art Studio your primary partners will be Tee Shirt Development, Footwear Development, Color Design, Material Design, Product Design, Product Management and Design Operations. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite Awareness of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates Strong listening, communication and organizational skills Ability to navigate ambiguity while continuing to collaborate with the team Incredible attention to the details that most people miss Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities Curiosity for learning and building a strong design community Experience in 3D apparel programs (CLO or Lotta) is a plus Understanding of Smartsheets, Airtable, and Miro are a plus A love for sports is a bonus but a love for design is essential WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON You will be working on highly visible product across sports and lifestyle tee shirt collections. This is where sport, design and culture meet and where we are redefining graphics for both athletes and fans. You will work with Design to create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product, from on-athlete to retail. You will be inspired and challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences. You will do this by leveraging 2D and 3D tools to communicate design intent. A typical day could include cross-functional meetings and alignment, high-volume schematic creation, building documentation for downstream partners and reviewing graphic strike-offs. In addition to design file creation, you will be responsible for tracking and maintaining updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval. You will learn new tools and advocate for efficiencies in the product creation life cycle. You will obsess the details that bring art to life.
