The basics of this position:

The Associate, Library performs duties necessary to provide an excellent experience for library users, including interacting with students, staff, faculty, and public community users, and may order, receive, and process library materials.

What you'll do:

  • * Perform circulation services including issuing and returning materials and entering related data in library software
    * Assist library patrons with locating materials, computer use, scanners, copiers, and other library equipment
    * Order, receive, process, and verify library materials
    * Provide information and support for access to library resources and facilities remotely and in person, referring patrons to other staff or services when appropriate
    * Refer students to library faculty for research help and instruction
    * Keep library materials in order, which may include shelf-reading, shelving books, shifting, or supervising student workers to perform these tasks
    * Assist with special projects or in functional areas
    * Additional duties as assigned

Education, experience, and other requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant work experience
