Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and dynamic Digital Media Coordinator to lead our content creation and digital distribution efforts. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on content production to enhance our organization's digital presence and engage with our audiences across multiple platforms.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation
    1. Create engaging multimedia content including videos, photos, graphics, and written content
    2. Film and photograph events, programs, and activities
    3. Edit and produce high-quality videos for various platforms
    4. Manage photo and video asset library
    5. Coordinate with internal teams to capture and create relevant content
    6. Ensure all multimedia content meets brand guidelines and quality standards
    7. Monitor trends and best practices in digital media and content creation
  2. Social Media Strategy
    1. Lead strategy and daily management of social media presence across all major platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube)
    2. Create and schedule engaging social media content that drives audience growth and engagement
    3. Monitor social media metrics and prepare regular performance reports
    4. Respond to comments and messages while maintaining brand voice
    5. Identify and implement emerging social media trends and opportunities
  3. Digital Marketing and Analytics
    1. Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels
    2. Track and analyze digital marketing metrics and KPIs
    3. Prepare comprehensive reports on digital marketing performance
    4. Optimize content based on analytics and user engagement data
    5. Recommend improvements to digital marketing strategies based on data insights
  4. Website Support
    1. In coordination with Director, update and maintain website content
    2. Optimize webpages for SEO and user experience
    3. Monitor and report website analytics and user behavior

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital media, content creation, and social media management
    • Additional years of relevant experience may substitute for education on a one-to-one basis
  • Demonstrated expertise with social media platforms and content management systems
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in video editing and photo editing software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and experience developing content that effectively engages with diverse communities, including LGBTQ+, racial and ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and other historically underrepresented groups
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating content creation capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of SEO and content optimization best practices
  • Understanding of digital marketing analytics tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
