Main Purpose of Job:
Driving social strategy, content creation, social listening and publishing, across all organic social channels, driving engagement and brand love. The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, and organized while able to act expeditiously. This role will report to the Social Media and Digital Content Manager and must have a keen eye for social media, influencers, and partnerships, with particular focus on TikTok and Instagram.
Role and Activity
Community Management
- Manage day-to-day execution including community management, scheduling/ posting and engaging with the audience in each unique brand tone across all social platforms
- Serve as a community manager on all social media platforms, forming connections across our followers and influencers, responding promptly to DMs and comments with accurate information, and surfacing sensitive issues to senior leadership as needed
- Identify and lead on cross-branded giveaways, banter and content with like-minded brands
- Maintain brand voice on social platforms
- Advise on social media best practices and opportunities
- Manage the development and tactical implementation of a comprehensive digital community & content strategy for specific brands that brings to life the brand's unique tone
- Develop social strategy for brand(s) laddering up to overall equity positioning and informing all content ideation
- Create and manage content across various social media platforms (primarily TikTok and IG), strategizing how each brand shows up on the app, managing video freelancers and internal ideation, filming/editing to drive discovery and entertain
- In partnership with brand and agency teams, build social content briefs, campaign concepts, social plans to support overall communications initiatives (ie: teaser, BTS, collab posts)
- Identify, manage influencers, content creators, social brand partnerships/collaborations and brand ambassadors to build out content and reach
- Stay on top of culturally relevant trending sound and content types and ideate how to apply them for the brands
- Manage overall organic social media editorial calendar(s) to ensure timely delivery of evergreen and timely content
- Collaborate with/advise internal brand teams on content briefs/evaluation/copywriting for paid social content
- Manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery of social media assets
- Manage and organize asset library
- Analyze content performance and provide guidance to improve engagement
- Competitive Analysis: Regular analysis to better understand ice cream landscape
- Test out new platforms (Snapchat, BeReal, etc) and assist on launch strategies
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media to incorporate into the overall strategy
- Assist team in coordinating giveaways, winners and shipments of coupons/swag
- 2-4 years experience working in social media for a brand or an agency
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a large organization
- Strong editorial judgment and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
- Have simple graphic design, video creation, and photography skills
- Experience conceptualizing and executing new content strategies
- Experience with influencer coordination and negotiations
- Experience with photo and video editing software a plus, including apps like Canva and Photoshop
- Experience with social media planning and scheduling platforms, including Sprout Social, is a plus
- Ability to use data and analytics to inform content decisions and drive growth
- Strong decision-making, time management & planning skills

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $70,000 and $90,000 per year.
