Regent University's School of Communication & the Arts is seeking adjunct faculty to teach on campus music courses in support of the degree programs in classical voice, contemporary voice, and songwriting. Qualified candidates in music history, music technologies, songwriting, composition and arrangement, worship music, and worship technologies are especially needed. An earned Master of Music or DMA from a regionally accredited institution in the disciplines mentioned above will be considered. Experience in teaching music is required, with a minimum of three years prior college teaching experience being preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Expectations include 1) a dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; 2) a record of or potential for academic scholarship; 3) the ability to teach undergraduate-level courses; 4) the availability to teach evening and/or weekend courses; and 5) a willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements and subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitment are expected.
