The Lexington Herald-Leader, judged to be the best newsroom in Kentucky by the state's press association, is seeking an ambitious reporter for a 10-week, paid internship position in our Lexington, Kentucky, office.
This is an on-site, hands-on opportunity to bolster reporting and writing skills while working with seasoned, award-winning editors and reporters. .

The Herald-Leader is a content powerhouse for the commonwealth of Kentucky. It places an emphasis on powerful public service work, compelling storytelling, breaking news, and enterprise reporting. We are seeking interns who are motivated with a fire in the belly and a desire to develop and grow new skills. We promise a rigorous 10-week program that places a premium on your professional growth.
Previous experience reporting and/or producing for a student or professional news publication is mandatory. This internship program involves on-site work, so be prepared to live near our Lexington newsroom.
