Job Summary/Description:

This position will be responsible for the social media and digital platform content (web and mobile) for KLTV and KTRE. Content generated from this position will be from various sources. The largest focus will be on Spanish language content that will be relevant in East Texas and from national or international sources. Local or statewide (Texas) content will also have priority. Duties also include writing a short, daily, Spanish-language broadcast news block for our Telemundo-affiliated station.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- This position will post translated or original content stories.
- Platforms will include all social media, primarily Facebook, all station websites, and station mobile sites.
- Digital pushes would be utilized for appropriate content.
- Creating a block of translated news (approximately 5-10 minutes of content) for our Spanish language broadcast and assigning video to those translated stories is also part of the duties.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- This bi-lingual position will need to be proficient or trained with the following skillset in mind:
- Strong news judgment, news writing and editing experience, and familiarity with AP style
- Knowledge of website, mobile, and newsroom production applications
- Creative background with working knowledge of Photoshop
- A college degree is strongly preferred
