Position Description:
The position reports directly to the Executive Director and/or the Executive Committee.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development/Community Relations: Identify new funding sources for Safe and Sober including foundations, corporations, and individuals.
Conduct ongoing research regarding fundraising trends and best practices as it relates to donor solicitation, retention, messaging, and goal setting.
Plan and oversee all fundraising events to ensure that revenue goals are set and reached, including sponsorship solicitations, event planning, day-of logistics, volunteer recruitment, and other related tasks.
Identify key opportunities to connect and partner with media outlets to promote Safe and Sober.
Travel and speak at events statewide to promote Safe and Sober.
Network with key stakeholders statewide to further Safe and Sober’s brand.
Supervise and assist staff, the Board, and volunteers with awareness/fundraising events.
Coordinate annual giving campaigns, donor prospecting, and acknowledgements.
Manage the Safe & Sober donor base.
Search and apply for grants.
Other development tasks as needed.
Website Management: Serve as the primary liaison between Safe and Sober and the digital agencies that have created our website platforms.
Build new pages, replace old content, and manage all information located on both the front and backend of Safe and Sober’s website.
Track, monitor, manage, and create reports of all website analytics to measure organizational impact and reach, and adjust current practices.
Make optimum use of content management systems such as HubSpot to manage website content and customer/contact relationships.
Media Campaigns/Communications/Marketing: Manage major digital media partnerships with external agencies to ensure the best promotion of Safe and Sober’s digital presence in both program and brand promotion.
Supervise and assist staff and vendors in designing, producing, and monitoring social media campaigns for parents and teens utilizing major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Develop and execute a communication plan by designing corresponding graphics, informational sheets, or other materials as needed.
Work in collaboration with staff to write and/or design regular newsletter updates to donors, community partners, and school connections.
Generate annual reports regarding the economic and general health of the nonprofit.
Financial Performance and Viability: In collaboration with all Director-level employees, develop and maintain resources to ensure the financial health of the organization, including:
Research, application, tracking, and reporting for grants originating at the local, state, or national level.
Fulfillment of all grant-related responsibilities.
Management of grant applications, awards, processes, vouchers, and reimbursements.
Meeting grant goals and reporting deadlines for grant renewals.
