We are seeking a talented and proactive Public Relations Manager to join our prestigious hotel collection, Kessler. This position is responsible for playing a crucial role in shaping the public image of our hotels, restaurants and experiences. This position will be charged with enhancing our reputation through strategic communications, proactive media pitching, and media and influencer relations efforts.

We are seeking a talented and proactive Public Relations Manager to join our prestigious hotel collection, Kessler. This position is responsible for playing a crucial role in shaping the public image of our hotels, restaurants and experiences. This position will be charged with enhancing our reputation through strategic communications, proactive media pitching, and media and influencer relations efforts.

Primary duties, responsibilities, and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to promote the hotel's brand, restaurants, amenities, and unique offerings to local and regional audiences.
- Serve as the primary Public Relations contact with agencies of record.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with local media contacts, travel writers, bloggers, influencers, content creators and industry stakeholders to generate positive press coverage and media mentions.
- Develop the internal Public Relations function to include a custom press contact list for each market, an online press room/press sheets, and press phot gallery functionality with the DAM.
- Create engaging press releases, media pitches, and promotional materials highlighting key events, initiatives, and special promotions at the hotel.
- Coordinate media hosting opportunities, press familiarization trips, media dinners/events, and special activations to showcase the hotel's facilities, culinary offerings, and guest experiences.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align PR efforts with overall marketing campaigns, social media strategies, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Monitor media coverage and track sentiment while also identifying emerging trends.
- Fulfill incoming media requests for multimedia content, including photography and videos to showcase the hotel's unique features and amenities.
- Develop partnerships and sponsorship opportunities with local organizations, cultural institutions, and community events to enhance the hotel's visibility and community engagement.
- Develop content that connects Kessler offerings with PR pitch angles.
- Develop internal measurement system to allow for both quantitative and qualitative reporting.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns using metrics such as media impressions, advertising value, website traffic, and social media engagement, and provide monthly reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in public relations or communications - required
- Proven experience (5-7 years) working in public relations, corporate communications, or hospitality marketing - required
- Hospitality experience - required
- Luxury experience - required
- Agency experience - required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engaging content for various audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts, influencers, and industry partners.
- Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and managing media relations in a competitive market environment.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms, with a keen understanding of how to leverage digital channels to amplify PR efforts.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and addressing challenges.
- Experience organizing and executing press events, media tours, and promotional campaigns with attention to detail and creativity.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences while upholding the hotel's brand standards and values.
- The majority of time will be spent indoors in an office space.
- Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands.
- This position frequently interacts with the Marketing department and is required to communicate within deadlines.
- This position maintains direct contact with external vendors on behalf of the company and may be required to host meetings and/or attend industry related events.
