In this role, you'll contribute to media and thought leadership strategy development, serving as our media contact support, managing our media center and news delivery platform, and providing content support for various departments.
Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to support the speaker procurement, content and agenda development, and related media initiatives for NCCI's Annual Insights Symposium (AIS) - the premier event for workers compensation executives.
While our headquarters is located in sunny Boca Raton, FL, this position has the potential to work remotely within the United States.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Public and Media Relations:
- Initiate proactive media coverage on research and messaging
- Manage content submissions, corrections, and op-eds; and create and distribute news releases
- Support interviews and follow-up in response to published materials
- Oversee media vendors for external initiatives to reach industry, state, and national media
- Create and implement media measurement frameworks and support quarterly readouts
- Support corporate award process from inception to execution
- Facilitate thought leadership initiatives and opportunities, including communications campaign management, guidance on key messaging, and creating unique content to connect insights, data, and solutions to support stakeholders
- Support production and content for NCCI's State of the Line Podcast
- Assist with stakeholder communications planning and distributing weekly updates
- Support social media thought leadership content and strategy
- Serve as a liaison and strategic PR/communications consultant to assigned divisions
- Create content and drive, edit, review, and disseminate company information externally
- Assist with message refinement based on market trends and issues reported in industry news
- Support the planning and coordination of AIS speakers, content, and media briefings
- Key contributor to overall event content and communications activities
- Guide NCCI Speaks program supporting identification and management of opportunities to highlight NCCI subject matter expert presenters at industry forums
- Lead NCCI Speaks resource team in the collaboration with content creators, presentation development and review process, and promotional campaigning with engagement
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or related field
- 5+ years experience in communications, public relations, or marketing
- Have the ability to:
- Work in a technical environment
- Interact with staff at all levels
- Draft press releases/media pitches/articles/presentations
- Edit communications/publications
- Drive web site content
- Position NCCI as an industry thought leader
- Lead project teams on selected initiatives to ensure established goals are met
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly collaborative approach to implementing communications programs
- Adept at identifying, analyzing, and reporting key public relations and communications metrics
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience in a B2B environment with regular C-suite executive interaction
- Completed insurance designations or coursework
- Working knowledge of the workers compensation insurance industry
- Work for the leader in workers compensation information providing data, insights, and tools for almost 1,000 insurance companies
