Public Relations Specialist- Outreach Worker (742567) work hours: 8:30amto 4:30 pm lunch period: 1hour (Unpaid) Assignment location with zip code: 55North Willow Street Trenton, NJ 08625 Work from Office or Remote/: Hybrid NJDOH - Office of Minority and Multicultural Health Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2years' experience in related roles in volunteer program management, human resources, or direct customer service Effective communicator across racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds Preferred bilingual (written and/or verbal) in the following languages, including English: Spanish Korean Portuguese Gujarati French Haitian Creole Arabic Russian Italian Mandarin Bengali Vietnamese NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis. LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: Requires schedule flexibility for evening and weekend hours. Duties/Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Program Manager, County Outreach Workers are responsible for COVID-19 vaccine outreach and registration navigation. Their oversight spans from county-level data collection, volunteer recruitment, and vaccination event management. County outreach workers lead local campaigns to address COVID-19 education, registration, and vaccination rates in areas of high-priority. Identifies and helps to reduce cultural and structural barriers to vaccination. Provides referrals to necessary COVID-19 resources (e.g., vaccine literature and available vaccination sites). Supports county level vaccination sites (e.g., troubleshooting, marketing, etc.) Coordinates and manages weekly CCC tabling and registration campaigns. Reports outreach progress (i.e., number of individuals educated, registered, and scheduled) to the Program Outreach Manager. Drives a positive volunteer experience and establishes opportunities for improvement and changes as needed. Identifies additional volunteer partners and locations to engage in advancing the CCC mission and goals. Maintains strong data accuracy (e.g., mitigates inaccurate vaccine and registration information). Assist with translation and editing of outreach material. All outreach workers will require additional Community Health Worker training under the DOH's Colette Lamothe-Galette Community Health Worker Institute.
