Federal Reserve and US Economy Reporter Job at Bloomberg in New York
Bloomberg, New York, NY, United States, 10261
The Federal Reserve, the worlds most powerful central bank, has begun lowering interest rates after its most aggressive campaign to tame inflation since the early 1980s. How quickly and deeply will Fed officials cut? Can they bring inflation back to target without tipping the US economy into recession? How are the Feds decisions affecting American households and businesses every day? How will the coming elections change the outlook for the world's biggest economy?
These questions are at the heart of decisions by financial markets and governments around the world, and the outcome will influence the livelihoods of millions of global consumers and businesses. Bloomberg News is looking for a talented reporter to answer them from New York, helping set the agenda on this critical beat.

Youll have a deep network of sources and produce scoops and enterprise stories on a range of issues, ensuring that Bloombergs Fed coverage is required reading for Wall Street traders, policymakers, business leaders and consumers alike. You're keen to help when needed and embrace an all-hands-on-deck approach.

- Work under tight deadlines and collaborate with reporters and editors in the US and around the world
- Take risks and find ways to innovate while maintaining the highest standards for accuracy and speed
- Contribute across a variety of Bloomberg platforms and formats, such as video, radio, podcasts, Bloomberg.com and Bloomberg Businessweek magazine
