smartdept. is searching for a Paid Search/SEM Supervisor for an anticipated need in 2024 with a media management agency client of ours in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of SEM/paid search management experience, with experience working in an agency setting. This is a hybrid (2 days in office per week), direct hire opportunity.

- SEM/Paid Search account management and execution in Google Ads.
- Develop and recommend budget levels based on client goals and objectives
- Create, categorize, and refine keyword lists to create a comprehensive campaign that drives qualified visitors to client sites
- Implement successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management using third-party software and metrics data
- Continually monitor, revise, and conduct landing page tests
- Monitor audiences, device, and location targeting efforts on a regular basis to maximize campaign efficiency and performance
- Analyze and assess campaign performance and translate quantitative and qualitative data into recommendations and plans for improving campaign strategy
- Communicate regularly on status, timeline, budget, deliverables, performance reporting, and competitive intelligence analysis
- Format and prepare regularly scheduled search reports for clients. Reports would be in the form of tables, graphs, summaries, and slides
- Present data on monthly and quarterly calls to clients reviewing metrics and optimizations
- Experience with social native platforms is a plus (YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, and LinkedIn)
What You'll Need:
- BA in marketing, advertising, communications, or equivalent
- Google Ads Search Certification required within the last year
- 3-4 years of Paid Search/SEM/PPC experience: a career focus in paid search/SEM required for consideration
- Experience managing junior-level team members and/or supervising a team as a direct report (required)
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate tasks and client needs
- A customer service focus and the ability to work as a team and independently are a necessity
- Able to successfully manage and prioritize multiple campaigns in a deadline-driven atmosphere
- Strong analytical skills: ability to gather, analyze, summarize, and present data
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Google Ads
- The following are considered a plus: GDN, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, FB/IG, LinkedIn, Google Looker Studio, and Google Analytics (desired but not required)
