Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc is seeking a SEO & CMS Web Developer who is not only an expert in SEO but also skilled in advanced CMS strategies. This is a unique opportunity to build, manage, and optimize secure, scalable websites that achieve the highest performance and visibility standards. You will be a key player in our team, focusing on both on-page and off-page strategies and bringing a security-first approach to CMS implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEO Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies (on-page and off-page) tailored to the unique needs of our brands, focusing on technical precision and growth in competitive industries.
  • CMS Development & Management: Build, maintain, and optimize CMS-based websites with an emphasis on performance, security, and scalability (e.g., using Contentful, Craft CMS, or Drupal). Oversee the transition and migration from vendor-built sites to secure, in-house-managed platforms.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Leverage tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Moz to monitor KPIs, track campaign performance, and provide insights that drive continuous improvement. Share data-driven insights with clients and internal teams.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with content, design, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand alignment. Collaborate with IT and security teams to address any platform vulnerabilities and maintain robust security standards.
  • Client Management & Communication: Engage directly with clients to discuss SEO and CMS strategies, provide performance updates, and ensure they are fully informed on SEO advancements. Communicate technical recommendations in a client-friendly manner.
  • Routine CMS Maintenance & Security: Perform regular CMS updates, patches, and security enhancements to keep sites fast, secure, and aligned with the latest SEO best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High level of experience in SEO and CMS-based web development, with a track record of success in high-impact SEO roles.
  • Expertise in on-page SEO (metadata optimization, internal linking, user experience) and off-page SEO (backlink strategies, outreach, and authority building).
  • Strong proficiency with modern CMS platforms, particularly those with a reputation for security and scalability (e.g., Contentful, Craft CMS, Drupal, or custom CMS solutions).
  • Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with PHP or other server-side languages.
  • Proficiency in advanced SEO tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Moz.
  • Ability to handle complex client requirements and high-stakes projects, providing strategic leadership and clear communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in CMS platform migrations, especially from vendor-managed sites to in-house-managed, secure CMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of content marketing strategies and how they intersect with SEO.
  • Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, mobile optimization, and the impact of site speed on SEO.
  • Proven experience in handling SEO for large-scale websites with high traffic and complex security needs.
