Job Description: Nadel Architects is seeking an experienced Multifamily/Mixed-Use Studio Director to develop and lead a Multifamily/Mixed-Use Studio in our Scottsdale, Arizona office. The Studio Director will cultivate a culture of innovation, high standards, and enthusiasm while driving growth and business development to meet corporate goals. This role is responsible for the overall financial success, technical and design excellence, and strategic direction of the studio, acting as the face of the firm in the industry

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications:
15+ years of professional experience in architecture, design, or a related field
Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and fostering a positive work environment
Proven experience in business development, client management, and marketing
Strong understanding of financial management within a studio or project-based environment
Travel between studio locations and domestic project sites as well as to and from industry events, conferences, and meetings as needed
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this position include:
Lead the studio's operations, promoting a strong team culture and aligning with the firm's goals and values
Communicate and implement strategic objectives and design vision across the studio
Mentor and develop staff, overseeing employee performance and growth opportunities
Ensure high standards of design quality in all projects, overseeing planning, production, and review processes
Manage relationships with consultants and ensure contract documents meet firm standards
Oversee the financial performance of the studio, including billing, collections, and contract approvals
Monitor project work plans to ensure financial goals are met and manage staffing allocations
Handle project-related legal matters
Serve as the primary client contact, leading efforts to bring new projects to the studio
Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the studio's visibility and expand its client base
