Job Description
The SportsNet Pittsburgh Studio Producer will develop, create and line-produce innovative network quality live Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins pregame and postgame shows, as well as additional content across platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce and field-produce live studio and remote pre- and post-game shows, magazine shows, Vodcasts and other productions as assigned.
- Develop, conceive, create, and execute show rundowns and make editorial decisions.
- Create and implement a focused role for all on-air talent assigned to relevant shows.
- Work closely with talent personnel to achieve the highest level of performance.
- May oversee the professional development, goals and schedules of production team members.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the production and programming vision for the network and ensure that pregame, postgame and other assigned shows are consistent with SNP’s business strategy and programming and production philosophy.
- Work closely with all Production and Operations personnel to improve shows, including aligning with Coordinating Producer of Studio on short-term and long-term planning.
- Plan with Coordinating Producer of Studio ideation, rehearsal and execution of new or realigned studio shows.
- Provide consistent and annual feedback to various supervisors regarding Production staff performance and development needs.
- Make ongoing recommendations for show improvements throughout the year.
- May be asked to assist with Operations functions like scheduling and production logistics.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sports studio show production.
- Skills in additional disciplines - shooting, editing, podcast production, graphics - a plus.
- Solid knowledge of Pittsburgh sports teams, particularly the Pirates and Penguins.
- Good Internet research skills.
- Strong work ethic, reliability and professionalism.
- Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced, loosely structured and dynamic work environment; must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision but also able to contribute effectively within a team environment.
- Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays and for occasional travel as required.
