The Role The Studio Metrics & Strategy DSE team is responsible for delivering metrics, data tools, and analysis that empower our business partners in the Content Operations & Innovation organization to measure, interrogate, and steer Content Operations with precision and clarity. This facilitates operational excellence in content production, enabling creative teams to produce the best movies and shows that we know members will love. We are looking for a stunning Analytics Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will partner with business teams and product managers to design metrics, develop analytic tools, and perform analyses that power content and media operations at scale. Your analytical insights will help shape our media product and resources strategy - ensuring we have the resource footprint and capabilities necessary to produce and innovate on our diverse content slate. As an Analytics Engineer in this space, you will: Be a strategic thought partner for Content & Business Product PMs, identifying metric and analytic opportunities to assess the health & impact of product solutions Spearhead the creation of analytic tools to empower business and product decision-making Collaborate with Data Engineers and Software Engineers to source data from new systems and strengthen our content media data models Work with other Analytics Engineers to identify and explore new, creative applications of content media, enabling us to produce even better shows and movies for our members Establish and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, working directly with them to introduce and influence data-informed ways of working About you: Fluent in SQL and Python and intuitive dashboard/visualization design in Tableau 2+ years of demonstrated experience with data wrangling, data analysis, metric visualization, and data storytelling Strong verbal and written communicator who can develop and deepen strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and act as a bridge between technical and non-technical audiences A self-starter with a learning mindset who is exceptionally curious – eagerly diving into new spaces and bringing informed ideas to the table Comfortable operating in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment, collaborating with fellow team members and partners to deliver meaningful business impact Netflix culture resonates with you Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.
