Job Description
The UX designer creates satisfying or compelling experiences for users of our product, often drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis. The GiiG UX designer needs to possess strong creative, technical and problem-solving skills. The UX design role may involve psychology, storytelling, and computer science as well. Areas of focus may include content, controls, visual design and development, information architecture, user research, branding and customer/technical support. The UX designer will need to have experience in transforming a product that has overgrown with a focus on compliance to now re-work the experience for more straightforward and intuitive workflow to increase the productivity of the GiiG field staff and reduce provider abrasion.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphics user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphics designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness, broken workflows)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
Requirements:
Your qualifications – solid and appropriate
- Experience working with infrastructure as code, and infrastructure automation tools like, e.g., Chef, Puppet, Terraform
- You must have a good understanding of auto-scaling software solutions
- You have experience in monitoring tools like New Relic, DataDog, and/or Grafana.
- Provide substantiated knowledge and experience in test automation.
- Experience with software testing automation tools like Cucumber, Robo framework, Ranorex or comparable software is plus.
- You ideally possess at least more than 3 years professional experience in the Agile software process of development and can work flexibly in a function-general agile team both onshore and offshore.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
- Portfolio of design projects
- Knowledge of wireframe tools
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant experience
