As a Senior UX Researcher you will work with a small team of designers and engineers to build new apps, services, and hardware from the ground-up. You will help us stay focused on the user. In this role, you will create understanding and empathy around user needs, stated and unstated. You will do so by conducting primary research, exploring the behaviors and motivations of our uthrough methods like usability testing, field research, surveys, diary studies, and any other methods that deems impactful in the formulation of product approaches that improve consumer experience. In addition, the Senior UX Researcher will analyze and triangulate qualitative and quantitative data in order to generate strategic and tactical insights along with actionable recommendations that drive product design improvements and innovation that will in turn improve the consumer experience.

Also, in this capacity, the Senior UX Researcher leads the product design and product development departments in a hands-on manner through both small scale and large scale user experience research upon request. The Senior UX Researcher assists these departments in the analysis and interpretation of cognitive, behavioral, and physiological consumer data. Also contributes to design expertise by actively participating in various product discussion sessions with the product designers, developers, managers and other cross-functional partners and leadership.
Internal Evangelism: The Senior UX Researcher is also tasked with finding compelling and creative ways of evangelizing insights discovered from their research efforts as well as evangelizing the best research methods. Internal evangelism for the Senior UX Researcher is not limited to product management departments but is meant for the whole business. The reason for this is to cultivate a highly informed and effective product organization.

Required Skills & Experience

What Youll Get To Do:
Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.
Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.
Define and guide UXR processes, methods, and culture to drive collaboration and innovation.

What Youll Bring:
6+ years of experience conducting impactful research in an applied product setting.
Experience with research design utilizing various methods including but not limited to usability studies, contextual inquiry, and surveys.
Experience in a variety of product spaces, applied research and/or academic settings.
Bonus points if you have B2B or enterprise experience!
Proficiency in communicating user research findings with cross functional partners to drive impact.
Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.
Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices.
