Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a UX Web Specialist to join the Data, Power & Control Team in Somerset, NJ. We are seeking a talented and experienced UX Web Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in website user experience design. As a UX Web Specialist, you will collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to create user-friendly, accessible, and purposeful digital experiences that align with our business goals and supports our users. This position reports to the Marketing Operations Manager.

Main Job Duties:

User Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct user research, surveys, and interviews to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.  Analyze data and translate findings into actionable insights to guide UX design, information architecture and content.
  • Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze user behavior, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement A/B tests and multivariate tests to optimize user experience and conversion rates.

Information Architecture:

  • Present findings and recommendations via wireframes and user flows to manager, advocating for UX, CRO, and SEO best practices.
  • Develop and optimize site structure and navigation for an intuitive and accessible user experience. Ensure information is organized logically to guide users through tasks.
  • Work with content team to ensure consistency and relevancy across all platforms.
  • Plan, conduct, and analyze usability tests to gather feedback and iterate on design solutions. Apply findings to improve the usability of our web products.

Performance Optimization:

  • Ensure designs support fast loading times, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility (WCAG) compliance for all users. Assist in executing the SEO strategy for our digital platforms, ensuring a user-centric approach in all initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, UX best practices, and emerging technologies to keep our digital experiences cutting-edge and competitive.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (product managers and marketing) to understand project requirements and share ideas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in UX Web Design, Marketing, Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in UX/UI design with a focus on web applications or websites.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in UX design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) and CRO tools (e.g., Visual Web Optimizer, Optimizely, etc).
  • Proven track record of leading successful UX and CRO initiatives.
  • A basic understanding of coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management skills, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing priorities to deliver and drive results
  • Portfolio showcasing UX projects, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
