The Wynn Las Vegas Sound & Video communications department oversees the in-house audio video systems associated with Villa guest rooms, restaurants, public spaces, and back of house service areas.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a broad scope of technical audio, video, control, networking, and fiber optic experience

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manager and Supervisors of the Sound and Video Communications (S&VC) department, the S&V Jr. Technician will be required to: 

  • Perform daily walks and checks throughout the property to ensure all S&VC systems are functioning properly
  • Respond to SV&C technical service calls both FOH and BOH
  • Ability to troubleshoot A/V operational equipment in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure the department delivers a maximum level of customer service, guest service, and production value
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of projects done “in-house” per design requirements and prints
  • Installation / infrastructure work will be of the highest standards, with all wiring inside and outside of any equipment rack to be well thought out, clean, immaculate, and serviceable
  • Work with other departments and technical staff to install and deploy each system, and coordinate facility requirements and integration
  • Communicate effectively and work with a high degree of creativity and personal responsibility
  • Ability or handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations
  • Effectively work with internal (S&VC), external departments and external vendor relations, some of which will require levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Work with safety as a priority and follow department and company safety standards
  • Ensure all Wynn Las Vegas core values, property and department standards are implemented and applied
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager and Supervisor
  • Maintain the S&VC workspace and tool carts
Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one-year experience in a commercial, hospitality, and residential Audio & Visual systems installation and operations role
  • Must have an operational understanding of signal flow for at least one of the following: audio, video, MATV, Satellite distribution, networking, fiber optics, or Crestron control systems
  • Knowledge of networked video and audio transmission standards HDBaseT, H.264, Dante, AVB, Blu-Link, Audio Architect, and Q-SYS
  • Experience with large satellite distribution and MATV systems
  • Knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fiber distribution and installation
  • Understand CAD drawings and single-line prints

  • Balances multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations
  • Ability to be given a task and able to perform it by yourself or with minimal assistance
  • Works with safety as a priority and follows department and company safety standards.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills with proven talents, and teamwork
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess outstanding organizational, strong interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail
  • Must have strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, & Excel
  • Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality / entertainment industry, team members must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and long hours
  • Models a professional and polished appearance as required by company guidelines
  • Must be able to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner
  • Must maintain relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training
  • Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and varied instances of standing/walking
  • The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. When on the property or during events and some back of house areas, the noise level increases to loud. Must be able to interact with others in a professional manner
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
