The Prime Video team is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to own and drive delivery for high-impact programs in the core technology team to help users worldwide to enjoy live events, movies and TV shows on mobile devices, living room devices, and the web. As part of this role, youll have the opportunity to work across many groups within and outside Prime Video while getting deep insights into our entire business.

Key job responsibilities

The Senior TPM role requires excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, strong technical expertise, the ability to partner effectively across teams within and outside of Amazon, and the ability to manage high-impact projects. As a member of the team, youll need to have the ability to understand the fundamentals of the latest video technology and what it takes to launch large scale video services and features that involve multiple teams (engineering, science & operations) within and outside of Prime Video. You will drive future technical solutions that will impact how we run Prime Video worldwide. In addition to this, youll need to be able to influence and deliver new features and exceptional user experiences across multiple platforms including mobile, living room devices, Fire TV, Alexa, and the web. You will also need to frequently engage business, product and technology leaders and be a strong advocate for our customers. About the team

Our mission is to generate new and enrich existing metadata to power trust & safety, search, discovery, and playback experiences for customers worldwide.

To accomplish this mission, MetaGEN works closely with engineering and science to generate and interconnect scene level information (e.g., emotion, object, place) in a Semantic Knowledge Graph, and use graph reasoning and big-data techniques to mine: (a) time-coded metadata (e.g., scene changes , music, intros, recap, end credits), (b) title level metadata (e.g., mood, topic, synopsis), and (c) content relationship metadata (e.g., Title Similarity Rankings) at scale and high accuracy. MetaGEN works through partner organizations (e.g., Trust & Safety, PV Search, Playback, Ads) to influence Title Discovery, Engagement, Reach, and accuracy for Ad Cue Points.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 3+ years of software development experience

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design

- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

- Experience working on large-scale machine-learning applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
