A little bit about our team:
ADA is the world’s leading distributor of independent music. We strive to be a valuable partner to our label clients, guiding them to success across the commercial and marketing space, as well as providing a suite of label services from publicity to radio promotion. We work globally to deliver high-impact opportunities, and work to ensure reliable and visible content pipelines around the world. This role will work to establish ADA’s agency in managing and optimizing their content on video services.
Your role:
As Director, Video Rights Management and Optimization, you will be responsible for creating a center of video rights management and optimization expertise within ADA. You will work with key stakeholders across the business to create an optimal process for rights management of our distributed content around the world, with the goal of speed and accuracy in mind. You will also be responsible for finding ways to optimize our global video content at scale.
Here you’ll get to:
- Create and manage process for optimal video rights management and fingerprinting globally
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue from video content across all platforms
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve video monetization processes and systems
- Work with the central WMG commercial teams to establish a process that allows ADA to provide best in class service to their clients.
- Oversee a team who manage the distribution and monetization of sound recording assets across multiple social platforms, including YouTube, Meta, and TikTok and their respective content management and audio fingerprinting systems
- Work to create a scalable system to track, clear, and maintain a low suspense ratio
- Create scalable channel development and optimization best practices for in-network channels
- Create optimization and claiming solutions for out-of-network channels
About you:
- College Degree preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in music operations or commercial distribution, preferably in the video space
- Expertise in YouTube CMS, data feeds, and claiming solutions
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of digital rights management (DRM) technologies and practices
- Familiarity with content ID systems on various social media platforms
- Experience with API integrations and automation tools
- Understanding of music licensing and copyright laws
- Knowledge of programmatic advertising and video ad serving technologies
- Ability to work independently, problem solve, and manage up to get unblocked when you need it
- Excellent communicator, especially to executive and global audiences.
We’d love it if you also had:
- Previous experience maintaining a YouTube CMS instance
- People management experience
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases

This position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
