Our innovative systems include high efficient and large scale platforms built on Amazon's cloud computing infrastructure. For this position, you will need a strong background in OO design with a modern programming language. Experience working with web services, XML, JSON, and Apache services is desired. Linux system development experience is a plus. The ability to multi-task, quickly adapt to new development environments and changing business requirements, learn new systems, create reliable/maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems is equally important.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. You lead the design and implementation of automated solutions.
  2. You have a strong background in OO design with Java/C++ and influence the team to maintain high standards.
  3. You build innovative systems that are highly efficient and scalable.
  4. You communicate effectively with other members, including SDETs, SDEs, QAEs, Product Managers, and stakeholders.

About the Team

We are building a new team focused on next-gen automation and monitoring solutions to uphold and raise the end-customer bar. We will be responsible for empowering teams to leverage computer vision and ML-based automation on devices. If you have experience building large-scale, high-performance, customer-friendly products and are interested in designing multi-tier services to handle large datasets, complex domains, and problems at Amazon scale, this is the job for you.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation: The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
