Playback Rewards is seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-level Full Stack Web Developer to join our startup team of games industry veterans to help build a powerful and scalable video game rewards platform. In this role, you will join our experienced development team where you'll build and maintain web applications and features in TypeScript/JavaScript and serverless architectures on Google Cloud. Key responsibilities: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards. Coordinate with development and design teams to develop applications that are aligned with expected outcomes and run on numerous platforms. Contribute to the development of technical designs and architecture plans. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members and ensuring code quality and consistency. Take initiative to enhance our technology and drive innovation. Required Traits: Strong problem-solving skills, proactive, and resourceful A self starter and able to work effectively on a team as well as independently A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, practices, and constraints Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication Strong time management skills, organized, and efficient Required Skills and Experience: BS in Computer Science, Bootcamp Certification, or equivalent foundational technical experience 2+ years of experience in professional web development Experience with multiple TypeScript and/or JavaScript projects Familiarity with modern web technologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., React, Node.js, Express, Tailwind, etc.) Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming concepts Experience with modern source control systems such as Git, GitHub, common branching strategies and pull requests processes. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with cloud architecture on GCP, Azure, or AWS Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes Experience with agile-like development methodologies and ticketing systems Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Firestore Experience creating cross-platform optimized and scalable user experiences Experience with web security, testing, or AI/ML/LLM Who We Are: Playback Rewards is building a loyalty rewards program and game discoverability platform for gamers.
