Rigg's Outdoor Power Equipment in Lafayette is accepting resumes for the position of Service Writer.

Our Service Writers are the lead customer interface between our customers and our service center. The Service Writer professionally and efficiently guides all service work from checking in equipment for service to the delivery of it back to the customer. The Service Writer must be able to plan in advance as well as prioritize the needs of the store business on a daily, and sometimes hourly, basis to ensure that service quotas are met and an exceptional level of customer service is maintained.

Specifically, Service Writer is accountable for:

• Helping meet monthly sales quotas on service and parts for the store
• Greeting customers in a friendly and professional way, solving their problems, and selling them parts and service
• Completing repair estimates and contacting customers for approvals
• Completing repair orders and contacting customers when ready for pick up
• Completing warranty orders and notify Parts/Service Supervisor when ready for submission
• Resolving customer issues
• Ensure policies and procedures are executed by technicians
• Contact tech support or researching available material from manufacturers to aid technicians on diagnosis and machinery repairs

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage diverse business operations and motivate others to do so as well. Being proactive in all facets of the job, making decisions, and decisively taking action on business issues and goals on a daily basis are required abilitie. Lastly, the position requires a truly effective communication style and ability to motivate others that is positive, results-oriented, and fosters a team atmosphere.

Rigg's offers a competitive base plus a $600 per month commission opportunity based on sales of parts and service so the more successful you are the more you can make! Rigg's also offers health, vision, dental, and savings plans for its employees. Ability to work a 5-hour shift (overtime pay) on Saturdays during our peak season (3 months).
