We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to take responsibility for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of various technical documents, including owner's manuals, warranty guides, testing, installation/repair instructions and user documentation. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear and concise technical content, such as installation guides, configuration guides, how-to documents, implementation guides, end-user guides, field documentation, etc. You will collaborate with technical personnel and utilize available resources to ensure accurate and comprehensive technical publications.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining various technical documents.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of basic concepts, including grammar, to produce well-written technical copy for different document types.
  • Gather technical information and prepare written text, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Maintain an up-to-date internal documentation library.
  • Utilize various word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, InDesign, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Collaborate with team members to produce high-quality documentation and training materials.
  • Work on all phases of documentation, from gathering information to organizing and presenting technical content.
  • Manage Product Change Notices to ensure all changes to documents are captured.
  • Coordinate the layout and design of documents.
  • Conduct research on highly technical subject matter and present technical information in a clear and understandable written form.
  • Apply technical writing concepts based on engineering drawings, engineering documentation, consultations with engineers, subject matter experts, and other available sources.
  • Provide expert oversight of technical writing and editing throughout the acquisition and technical documentation process.
  • Capture photos of parts for parts catalog development
  • Integrate part specifications, install manuals, owner's manuals, warranty information and the like into our parts catalog
  • Support continuous improvement of all internal processes to ensure the best possible customer experience.
  • Help ensure the team has adequate capacity to support continued growth through the development of additional team members and/or added efficiencies.
  • Adhere to all environmental health & safety guidelines related to use of products and industrial equipment. The safety of our employees is of highest priority.
  • Be a conscientious steward of all company resources.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service.
  • Participate in continuous improvement opportunities to ensure cost efficiency, speed and accuracy.

Requirements
  • Ability to deliver results through influence is a priority. This position requires extensive collaboration with multiple internal and external business partners.
  • A general understanding of recreational vehicle (RV) construction and components is preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is highly encouraged, but experience and character are the most important qualifications.
  • Four (4) years of additional Technical Writing experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic; able to independently own and drive projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation will vary based on experience, skill and leadership capabilities. We pay competitive to the market and compensate based on the value that you bring to the organization.
