Responsibilities
Our team has an exciting challenge for a UI Developer to assist in building and maintaining a web application for processing, transforming, and routing customer production data. Telework is possible one day per week, and the place of performance is located at the Peraton contractor facility in the Ft. Meade area.
As our UI Developer, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with our developers to improve usability for our customers.
- Optimize UI design for maximum speed, ensuring high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
- Concentrate on everything the user visually sees and interacts with directly in the browser or client-side application using languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Construct responsive page layouts, navigation menus, buttons, search forms, and all other interface components.
- Test site code and handle specific aspects of design and development projects.
- Maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
- Conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code, and perform unit testing.
- Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
- Resolve complex technical design issues.
- Develop technical specifications and plans.
- Analyze user requirements and convert them to design documents.
- Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and reports as requested.
- Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- An active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Java with a strong UI background.
- Experience working in a Linux development environment.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, jQuery, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Experience with Bootstrap, Bootstrap-table, and Plotly.
Desired Experience:
- Use of Velocity Templates and their dependencies on Jersey.
- AWS.
- Automation, CI/CD.
- MongoDB, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch.
- Tomcat.
- UX experience.
- 508 Compliance.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
